Guild Wars 2 is turning eight this year. As usual, you are invited to take part in the anniversary event. This celebration comes with gifts for your character. The characters receive annual gifts that celebrate the date of their creation. The gifts become better with each passing year.
Some veteran birthday gifts include skins for your weapons, armors, and bags. When players open the gift they will also receive the Birthday – Year 8 achievement. The gift includes five rewards. You will get a birthday card that gives you 5,000 karma when you use it. There’s also a dedicated dye kit that allows you to take your pick at an account-bound exclusive dye. There are three dye kits to choose from. You are able to get two birthday boosters as well. These items give you the celebration buff for one day.
The gift comes with two Black Lion statuettes. You can exchange them for items from the gem store. Teleport friend tokens are obtained too. You get five of them so you can easily reach your group mate’s location. You will get the birthday gift in the mail. Each one of your characters will get this gift.
The oldest characters in the game date from the early access period from eight years ago when the game was released. Those characters were made on August 25th, 2012. The Dedicated Anniversary Achievement Box is received by the first character in your account that turns eight.
Here is what you get: You obtain the Dedicated title. You get an armor pack that allows you to choose from exclusive skins for your armor. You will also acquire two weapon packs that give you multiple skin choices for your weapons. There’s another skin pack, this one is for your backpack. The wardrobe unlock gives you a random option for the wardrobe. The celebratory birthday enrichment can be used on an ascended amulet. It gives a 15% karma boost and an aura. The Amulet of Celebration is another gift. This is an ascended amulet that lets you select attributes in remembrance of your adventures.
